The role also involves supporting medication management, risk assessment, safeguarding, staff supervision, and maintaining accurate records. You may regularly liaise with GPs, community nursing teams, allied health professionals, and other external agencies.

This role makes a meaningful difference to the lives of older people in Argyll and Bute by helping residents maintain their dignity, wellbeing, independence, and quality of life, while ensuring the service remains safe, supportive, and responsive to their needs.

You should hold, or be willing to work towards, an appropriate qualification in Health and Social Care and be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), in line with regulatory requirements, or hold a nurse qualification and be registered with NMC. Experience of medication administration, care planning, risk assessment, and staff supervision would be advantageous. You should also have a good understanding of safeguarding, promoting dignity and independence, and delivering care in line with relevant legislation, standards, and best practice.
