Responsibilities

  • Managing documentation, taking minutes for child protection and care experienced meetings.
  • Facilitating effective communication and ensuring statutory requirements are met with discretion and professionalism.
  • Sound understanding of GDPR and ability to process subject access requests (SARs) effectively within timescales.
  • Co‑ordinating bookings and appointments using the council’s booking system, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Full training will be provided on key systems and procedures, including the Eclipse social work recording platform, purchase card usage, and coding transactions within the RBS system.

Qualifications

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An unassuming and professional manner with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably within a social work or related environment.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and data security, including the appropriate handling of sensitive and potentially distressing information relating to children and families.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SharePoint.

Employment Terms

  • Temporary post until 19/02/2027. The post may be filled on a secondment basis by an employee wishing to gain experience/career development and will be at the discretion of the employee's Third Tier Manager.
