We would love to welcome a dynamic, motivated and experienced individual to join our friendly Children & Families Social Work Area Team. Argyll and Bute is one of Scotland's most stunning areas. An opportunity has arisen to lead and manage, alongside colleagues, the Children & Families team in Cowal. The post offers a broad range of children and families work from early support through child protection, statutory work with care experienced children and young people through to managing the processes leading to adoption.
The team provides services to rural and island communities, offering diverse learning opportunities for managers looking to further enhance their skills and knowledge in remote rural and island settings. The role includes participation in our Out of Hours service which provides the unique opportunity to develop skills and knowledge of the range of all social services across the whole age and ability ranges.
If you are already an experienced manager, or a Social Worker with four years' experience in a Children & Families setting who is looking to pursue a career in managing children's services, we would like to discuss this opportunity with you. You should hold a current driving licence.
