Gaelic Medium Class Teacher – G1–3, Bowmore Primary School
Bowmore Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Gaelic Medium teacher to join our welcoming school community on the beautiful island of Islay.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach our G1–3 class, nurturing children’s confidence and fluency in Gaelic while providing creative, engaging and appropriately challenging learning experiences. We are looking for someone with strong Gaelic language skills, a sound understanding of early language acquisition and a commitment to meeting the needs of every learner.
Our school vision,
“Aspire to Succeed – Streap gu Soirbheachas,” is underpinned by our values of
Ambition, Creativity and Equity. The successful candidate will build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, contribute to school improvement and play an active part in promoting Gaelic language and culture within our school and wider community.
If you are passionate about Gaelic Medium Education and helping young learners thrive, we would be delighted to hear from you.
We are seeking a fluent Gaelic speaker who ensures Gaelic is both visible and audible throughout the school. The successful candidate will need to be able to plan and deliver lessons using a range of methodologies and resources, carry out assessments, analyse data, and report on children’s learning to ensure that they continue to build upon the good progress that the children are currently making.
