The Role: As a Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving plant reliability. You’ll be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, working as part of a multi-skilled team to ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
- Electrical fault finding and repair, including motors, control panels and PLC fault finding
- Mechanical maintenance on conveyors, pumps, and hydraulics
- Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety standards
- Carrying out continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served Engineer with strong electrical skills and relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a process, manufacturing, chemical or FMCG environment
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures (LOTO, Risk Assessments, Permit to Work, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively in a rotating 12-hour shift pattern (Days & Nights)
- Knowledge of PLC fault finding and control systems
