Working as part of the Argus technology department in our central London office, the Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in the delivery of our strategic CRM & ERP programme as we modernise and expand the enterprise software we use. You will be responsible for working closely with our internal business functions to define and communicate a clear set of requirements across workstreams in partnership with the product managers and other business analysts. This is a hands‑on role and you’ll regularly work with stakeholders throughout the product’s lifecycle. The role includes managing users, data quality, responding to questions from and coaching end‑users, reporting and housekeeping within the system. You will also undertake ongoing business analysis across our business functions to identify opportunities and solutions for process improvement and automation. This will include the hands‑on configuration of Salesforce, whilst ensuring that quality and service levels are high. Therefore hands‑on Salesforce experience is highly desirable.

What Will You Be Doing

  • Develop a detailed understanding of Argus’ business Model as‑is and to‑be processes
  • Model ERDs, Data Dictionaries and Flows
  • Own, manage and communicate the requirements across Products for specific features in the backlog
  • Act as a bridge between the technical and business teams to ensure the technology solutions are practical and meet the needs of the business
  • Partnering and working closely with the Product Managers for ERP, CRM, Integration and Core backend services to ensure workstream backlogs are understood, visible, aligned, and business value is understood
  • Write solutions options that can be evaluated for OOTB vs config
  • Contribute to effective change management procedures
  • Track system defects and enhancements
  • Learn to support the system configuration
  • Write process documentation for the wider team
  • Drive best practice and direction of process and workflow
  • Fully understand the impact of the sales cycle and process
  • Support the business users helping smooth transition from development activities into production by providing product knowledge during training, UAT and go live activities.

Skills And Experience

  • A detailed understanding of Salesforce with configuration experience
  • Proven track record of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories
  • Proven experience of maintaining a backlog of requirements in a central repository such as JIRA.
  • A good understanding of the architecture of complex web applications
  • Clarity of communication (Precise, Succinct, Effective)
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to align stakeholders throughout the product and project lifecycles
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Proven experience of agile development e.g., SCRUM, Kanban
  • Highly organised and able to manage individual workload
  • Work flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self‑training

Education/Qualifications

  • Business Analysis certification is highly desirable, ideally BCS qualifications.
  • Essential Salesforce certifications: Platform Administrator
