What Will You Be DoingWorking as the Engineering Group Lead you will be part of the Technology and Data team, leading engineering teams, working on different projects and closely collaborating with product, quality assurance, other engineering group leads and teams to deliver solutions that meet the required business needs, quality, and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Apply software and data engineering best practices to develop maintainable, scalable, reliable and secure solutions based on common architecture patterns and principles
Ensure timely delivery of highâquality software solutions that are fit for the future while maintaining a strong focus on practicality, user experience and user satisfaction
Communicate progress, challenges, and technical tradeâoffs to stakeholders
Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability and ownership
Possess a bigâpicture perspective while remaining handsâon and dived into the code when necessary
Act as a visible, approachable leader, removing bottlenecks and enabling the teams
Ensure that all engineering work meets agreed standards of quality, including code reviews, testing and best practices with a handsâon approach
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to constantly seek ways to enhance their skills and processes
Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their adoption
Embed AI, automation and pragmatic DevOps practices to boost speed and quality
Skills And Experience
Bachelor\âs degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
Strong understanding of Serviceâoriented architecture, microservices and eventâdriven architectures
Cloudânative development with AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, EC2, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, RDS Aurora, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, Athena, etc.)
DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerization)
Strong experience operating within an Agile delivery methodology
Strong experience delivering .NET/C# and Angular web apps (handsâon current/recent experience)
Advocate of SOLID principles and design patterns
Strong database experience (SQL and NoSQL)
Strong problemâsolving skills, ability to think creatively, combined with a resultsâoriented mindset
Practical experience applying AI/ML tools and techniques as an extension of the software engineer\âs toolbox
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with both technical and nonâtechnical stakeholders
Desired experience building, extending or maintaining a trading platform
