Technology is central to everything we do, and a key aspect is managing complex delivery programmes across the department to ensure we continue to provide value for the organisation and our customers. This role ensures alignment between roadmaps and execution, providing clear visibility of progress, managing dependencies and risks, and delivering programmes on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards. You will also support the delivery teams with their continuous improvement activities by providing regular metrics and insights. Working as the Programme Delivery Lead, you will collaborate with all levels in the technology team and other senior leaders to bring cohesion, consistency, and insight to how we work.

What will you be doing

  • Programme Coordination & Reporting
    • Partner with delivery teams to draft and own the end-to-end programme plan
    • Coordinate delivery across multiple teams, ensuring workstreams are aligned
    • Identify, track, and actively manage cross-team dependencies and integration points
    • Resolve blockers and ensure smooth collaboration across teams and stakeholders
    • Drive programme execution to ensure delivery on time and within scope
    • Partner with delivery teams to contribute to delivery roadmaps
    • Establish a light governance framework to facilitate decision-making and clarity
    • Provide timely, structured reporting on progress, challenges, and trade-offs to project leads and stakeholders
  • Delivery Team Reporting
    • Partner with Product and Engineering to identify useful delivery team metrics
    • Provide clear monthly reporting on those delivery metrics to showcase delivery efficiency
    • Manage our delivery metric tools e.g. AWS Quick suite, JIRA, Plandek
    • Run monthly timesheet reporting in partnership with finance and delivery teams
    • Track forecasted and actual capitalisation rates in partnership with Finance
    • Provide monthly roadmap updates with relevant change highlighted
    • Deliver all reports in a timely manner to stakeholders
  • Continuous Improvement & Delivery Excellence
    • Drive adoption of best practice delivery across programme delivery
    • Provide recommendations that will improve delivery e.g. cycle time
    • Proactively embed AI, automation into operational processes to boost speed and quality
    • Lead and mentor associate level roles, foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and ownership

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience leading programme deliveries with inter-dependencies
  • Experience creating and managing programme plans and governance structures
  • Track record of delivering programmes within scope/time/resource constraints
  • Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and/or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Proven experience of project management tools
  • Strong capability in planning, prioritisation, and resource coordination
  • Experience tracking and improving delivery performance and execution quality
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and drive progress
  • Strong inter-personal skills with technical/non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to influence across teams without direct authority
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • High degree of organisation, structure, and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
