The Head of Marketing Operations & Digital Strategy is a senior leadership role responsible for enabling and accelerating commercial growth through marketing operations excellence, digital transformation, data-driven decision making, marketing technology, AI innovation and customer insight. This role sits at the intersection of Marketing, Revenue Operations, Commercial, Technology and Finance, ensuring that marketing investments, systems, processes, analytics and digital channels deliver measurable business outcomes. The role leads a global team comprising 4 onshore professionals and an offshore Marketing Operations team based in Mumbai, while owning the platforms, processes and capabilities that support marketing-attributed revenue, lead generation, customer engagement and digital growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute the Marketing Operations and Digital Strategy roadmap aligned to company growth objectives.
    • Act as a strategic advisor to Marketing Leadership, RevOps Leadership and Commercial Leadership on marketing performance, investment priorities and operational effectiveness.
    • Shape the future operating model for Marketing, ensuring scalability, efficiency and alignment with business priorities.
    • Lead cross-functional transformation programmes that improve marketing effectiveness and commercial outcomes.
  • Marketing Operations Excellence
    • Lead the global Marketing Operations function, establishing a centre of excellence for campaign operations, data management, reporting and process governance.
    • Drive continuous improvement in marketing performance through lead management, scoring, segmentation, attribution and funnel optimisation.
    • Ensure marketing activities are measured consistently and linked to pipeline generation and revenue outcomes.
    • Establish operational governance service levels and best practice standards across Marketing Operations.
  • Digital Strategy & Website Operations
    • Own the digital growth strategy and performance of the Argus website ecosystem.
    • Lead website operations, user experience optimisation, conversion rate improvement and digital customer journeys.
    • Drive SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation), AI-driven discovery and emerging digital acquisition strategies.
    • Lead website transformation initiatives including platform upgrades, migration projects and AI-driven personalisation capabilities.
    • Ensure digital experiences are aligned to customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Marketing Technology, Systems & Vendor Management
    • Own the global Marketing Technology strategy, roadmap and governance framework.
    • Act as executive sponsor and business owner for key platforms including Marketo and other marketing, analytics and digital technologies.
    • Lead marketing systems projects, technology upgrades, integrations and transformation initiatives.
    • Drive technology adoption and ensure platforms deliver measurable business value.
    • Manage strategic vendor relationships, performance reviews, commercial negotiations, renewals and future technology evaluations.
    • Partner with Technology and Revenue Operations teams to ensure seamless integration with Salesforce and broader commercial systems architecture.
  • AI, Automation & Digital Innovation
    • Lead AI adoption across Marketing Operations and Digital Marketing.
    • Partner with Revenue Operations, Technology and Commercial teams to identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve productivity, customer experience and pipeline generation.
    • Drive initiatives such as AI-powered lead scoring, predictive analytics, marketing automation, website personalisation and AI-enabled customer engagement.
    • Establish governance and business value frameworks for AI investments.
    • Champion a culture of experimentation, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Marketing Performance, Analytics & Revenue Growth
    • Own marketing performance measurement frameworks and attribution models.
    • Drive data-led decision making across Marketing and Commercial teams.
    • Deliver meaningful insights into conversion performance, pipeline contribution, marketing-attributed revenue and customer engagement.
    • Provide executive leadership with forecasting, performance dashboards and strategic recommendations.
    • Ensure marketing investment decisions are supported by robust analysis and ROI assessment.
  • Customer Insights & NPS
    • Lead customer insight programmes including NPS and customer feedback initiatives.
    • Ensure customer needs remain central to marketing strategy and execution.
    • Leverage behavioural analytics and customer feedback to drive continuous improvements across digital and marketing experiences.
    • Translate customer insights into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • People Leadership
    • Lead, develop and inspire a global team consisting of 4 onshore team members and an offshore Marketing Operations team in Mumbai.
    • Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation and customer impact.
    • Coach and mentor managers and specialists across Marketing Operations, Analytics, MarTech and Digital disciplines.
    • Drive talent development, succession planning and organisational capability building.
    • Lead teams through transformation, change and evolving business priorities.

Key Stakeholders

This role partners extensively with: Revenue Operations Leadership, Commercial Leadership Team, Global Marketing Leadership Team, Technology & Digital Teams, Finance, Product & Strategy Teams, External technology and data vendors. The successful candidate will be highly effective at influencing senior stakeholders and aligning multiple functions around shared business objectives.

Essential Experience

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, Marketing Technology, Digital Strategy or a related field.
  • Proven people leadership experience managing global and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated success developing, coaching and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Experience owning enterprise marketing technology platforms, including Marketo or equivalent solutions.
  • Proven track record delivering technology transformation and systems implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of AI, automation, digital innovation and modern marketing technologies.
  • Deep expertise in marketing analytics, attribution, lead management, demand generation and performance measurement.
  • Experience partnering with Commercial, Finance, Technology and Executive Leadership teams.
