Flexible location with some travel to Warrington/ London. Our client, an international business, currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Contract Manager within a fast growing commercial department. This is a unique opportunity, looking for a senior commercial professional who is keen to progress to the next level of their career. The company has a long and successful history of delivering large projects to various public sector clients and is experiencing a period of rapid growth.

The role holder will have the opportunity to lead the commercial negotiation of new business with both new and existing clients. This role will be responsible for leading contract negotiations for deals across the public sector.

You will:

  • Identify the risks, liabilities, and commitments of contractual agreements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates any potential impact.
  • Review, draft, update and maintain contract documents.
  • Monitor and report performance and compliance against contractual obligations including commercial performance, financial management and contract management.
  • Work with the contract delivery teams to ensure that the management of change request process and change implementation is carried out in line with the contracts.
  • Report on progress of change requests and projects.
  • Review contract performance, assessing commercial risks and ensuring appropriate steps are taken to manage the risk.
  • Prevent and resolve contractual disputes.
  • Assure adherence to Group Commercial Policy.
  • Support the client engagement teams in all commercial aspects, post contract signature, to achieve the orders, profit and cash budget and overall management of the Client relationship.
  • Support the delivery streams who are responsible for the delivery of projects and provide clear direction working with the client engagement team.

The person:

  • Experience of working in a pre contract signature environment.
  • Experience of working closely with finance, operations and technical specialists.
