We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile infrastructure programme, playing a key role in driving commercial performance and ensuring robust cost control across complex projects.
Working within a multi-disciplinary project team, you will take ownership of commercial and contractual activities, partnering closely with project controls, cost engineering, client representatives and the supply chain to deliver value while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing commercial strategy and execution across allocated projects, ensuring contractual obligations are effectively administered and commercial risk is proactively managed. You will operate as a trusted commercial advisor, supporting project delivery teams and contributing to the successful financial performance of the programme.
- Manage commercial and contractual matters across assigned projects in line with governance frameworks and company standards.
- Provide expert guidance on contract application, particularly NEC forms of contract (experience with Option C highly desirable).
- Lead procurement and tendering activities, ensuring robust supplier selection and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Administer change control processes, including compensation events, variations and contractual notices.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and manage commercial risk, protecting the business from claims and disputes.
- Support accurate cost reporting, forecasting and budget management in collaboration with project controls teams.
- Contribute to bid reviews and governance processes, ensuring cost, risk and value considerations are fully assessed.
- Promote continuous improvement and commercial best practice across the project lifecycle.
Proven experience operating as a Quantity Surveyor within large, complex infrastructure or regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, energy, defence or major civil engineering projects). Demonstrated expertise in procurement, tendering and contract administration. Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing risk, change control and contractual disputes. Detail-oriented, commercially astute and comfortable working in fast-paced project environments.
