We are supporting a leading organisation within the defence and aerospace sector in the search for a Procurement Specialist to join a growing Supply Chain team on an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with procurement or buying experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with stakeholders across complex programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate contracts for products, services and technologies.
- Support sourcing activities and develop effective procurement strategies.
- Prepare and execute contractual documentation and agreements.
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance, quality and delivery.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Balance inventory, demand and supply requirements to support programme delivery.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with wider business objectives.
- Analyse demand and supply trends to support informed decision-making.
- Communicate supplier performance metrics and expectations.
About You
- 2-4 years' experience within procurement, supply chain or buying roles.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP knowledge advantageous).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working within a dynamic and changing environment.
- Defence, aerospace or engineering sector experience would be beneficial.
