A leading defence and aerospace organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Pricing & Bids Manager to join its growing Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of pricing strategy and bid management activities across complex, high-value programmes within a highly regulated environment. You'll play a critical role in developing competitive pricing models, managing bid submissions, and driving commercial success across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Role
As Procurement Pricing & Bids Manager, you will lead the development of pricing strategies and oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring proposals are commercially robust, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Working closely with Procurement, Commercial, Finance, Operations and Business Development teams, you will help shape winning solutions for customers while balancing competitiveness, profitability, and risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, coordination and submission of procurement bids, tenders and proposals.
- Develop pricing models, cost structures and commercial strategies for complex opportunities.
- Manage bid timelines, governance processes and stakeholder approvals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to gather technical, commercial and financial information.
- Evaluate supplier pricing, market conditions and competitor intelligence.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support supplier negotiations.
- Analyse supplier quotations and assess risks and opportunities across the supply chain.
- Ensure pricing assumptions align with sourcing and procurement strategies.
- Monitor bid performance and conduct post-bid reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Present pricing recommendations and bid strategies to senior leadership.
About You

- Experience in procurement, pricing, bid management or proposal management within defence, aerospace, government or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience developing pricing strategies and cost models for complex bids and tenders.
- Knowledge of government contracting environments and procurement processes.
- Experience working with cost-reimbursable, fixed-price and hybrid contract structures.
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
- Experience using ERP systems, procurement platforms and pricing tools.
Desirable
- MCIPS, MBA, NCMA or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Understanding of cost accounting principles, indirect rate structures and government-compliant pricing methodologies.
- Familiarity with FAR and DFARS requirements.
