Supply Chain Development Specialist Up to Β£49,000 π Midlands | Hybrid βοΈ Regular supplier visits across the Midlands with occasional travel to Prestwick Are you experienced in supply chain planning, scheduling or supplier management within a complex manufacturing environment?
We're looking for a Supply Chain Development Specialist to play a key role in supporting supplier performance, resolving supply chain challenges and ensuring critical parts are delivered on time.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to identify risks, drive recovery plans and keep production moving.
The Role Support suppliers in recovering performance and improving delivery.
Visit suppliers across the Midlands to identify issues, implement recovery plans and build strong relationships.
Monitor supplier performance and communicate risks to key stakeholders.
Maintain supplier schedules and ensure MRP/ERP data is accurate.
Assess the supply chain impact of engineering changes.
Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to resolve supply issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base.
Help optimise inventory while maintaining continuity of supply.
About You We're keen to hear from people with experience in: Supply Chain Planning Production Planning or Scheduling Materials Planning Supplier Management Supplier Performance or Supplier Development Supply Chain Execution You'll also bring: Experience within aerospace, defence or another complex manufacturing environment.
A good understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies is desirable.
