A leading UK organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Fleet Transformation Lead to deliver a major fleet optimisation programme across a large operational vehicle estate. This is a key transformation role focused on improving fleet efficiency, standardising vehicle specifications, strengthening supplier relationships and delivering commercial value through improved procurement strategies.

The successful candidate will have experience managing a large UK fleet (3,000+ vehicles) and a proven track record delivering fleet transformation initiatives, including vehicle standardisation, supplier negotiations and cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the standardisation of vehicle specifications across operational roles
  • Develop a consistent fleet strategy to support bulk purchasing opportunities
  • Manage manufacturer and supplier relationships to secure improved commercial terms, discounts and rebates
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities across the fleet lifecycle
  • Work with operational stakeholders to implement fleet improvements
  • Support wider fleet transformation and change programmes
Experience required:
  • Proven experience managing a large-scale UK fleet (3,000+ vehicles)
  • Previous fleet transformation / optimisation experience
  • Strong commercial and supplier negotiation skills
  • Experience negotiating with vehicle manufacturers/OEMs
  • Background in fleet procurement, operations or mobility strategy
  • CPC qualification or transport management background desirable
