Rate: Competitive The Opportunit y We're working with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its legal team on an initial six-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy commercial legal function, advising on a wide range of complex contractual and compliance matters across multiple business areas .
This role would suit a commercially focused lawyer who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, managing legal risk and delivering pragmatic, solutions-driven advice in a fast-paced environmen t.
Key Responsibilit ies Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts and terms and conditio ns.
Support stakeholders throughout the full commercial lifecycle, from bid and tender stage through to contract executi on.
Provide commercially focused legal advice on contractual and business matte rs.
Identify legal and commercial risks, recommending practical mitigation strategi es.
Support the wider compliance programme, including advising on compliance-related matte rs.
Deliver legal and compliance training to internal stakeholders where requir ed.
Manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality legal support to the busine ss.
Build strong relationships across the organisation, acting as a trusted legal advis er.
About You To be successful, you'll br ing: Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE (or equivalent experien ce).
Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contra cts.
Previous in-house legal experience, ideally within sectors such as technology, telecommunications, financial services, public sector or other regulated industr ies.
A commercial mindset with the ability to provide practical, business-focused legal adv ice.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management ski lls.
The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a wider t eam.
