You’ll have the opportunity to shape procurement capability, processes, and strategy, all within a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your input will directly influence outcomes. If you’re motivated by growth, change, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact, this role offers a genuine platform to do so.

As Global Senior Procurement Specialist, you will take ownership of key procurement activities across global spend areas, driving both operational excellence and strategic value creation. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring supply continuity, cost optimisation, and supplier performance, while helping to embed stronger processes, governance, and ways of working as the organisation scales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive results across procurement activities, ensuring continuity of materials and services while delivering against ambitious performance and cost targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with critical suppliers, positioning procurement as a true business partner.
  • Manage commodity pricing, identify and onboard new suppliers, and negotiate commercially strong, future-proof agreements.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis and benchmarking, ensuring competitive positioning and informed decision-making.
  • Deliver sustainable cost savings by reducing total cost of ownership through negotiation, value analysis, and process improvement.
  • Lead and evolve supplier-managed inventory (SMI) models, working closely with Supply Chain to manage risk, improve resilience, and standardise approaches globally.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external vendors, while taking a leadership role in guiding and upskilling regional procurement teams on best practice.
  • Lead and support end-to-end tender activity, including tender design, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Support supplier approval processes, ensuring the right partners are selected to support both current operations and future growth.
  • Identify priority areas for improvement based on material criticality, value, and volume, proactively reducing supply risk and driving efficiency.
  • Support the implementation and execution of category strategies, contracts, and procurement initiatives.
  • Contribute to and support cross-functional working groups, helping shape strategic direction and governance across categories.
  • Develop and continuously improve procurement SOPs, tools, and processes to support a scaling organisation.
  • Ensure procurement master data integrity within ERP systems, maintaining accuracy across supplier and pricing information.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in procurement/strategic sourcing within pharma, biotech, life sciences, or another highly regulated and complex environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate analysis into real business value.
  • Experience working with global suppliers and managing complex contracts.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, transforming environment, bringing structure while embracing change.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge at multiple levels.
