The Role
As Senior Commercial Manager, you will provide strategic commercial oversight across a varied portfolio of programmes and bids, working closely with operational, project delivery and leadership teams. You will lead commercial activity across the full contract lifecycle, supporting both business growth and operational delivery while ensuring effective governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial strategy and engagement across a portfolio of programmes and contracts
- Provide commercial leadership on complex bids, proposals and negotiations
- Support and influence key customer and stakeholder relationships internally and externally
- Ensure robust commercial governance, compliance and risk management processes
- Partner with operational and programme teams to drive successful customer outcomes
- Support negotiation planning and execution for high-value and strategically important agreements
- Contribute to long-term business and portfolio planning
About You
- Significant experience within a commercial management or commercial leadership role
- Strong customer-facing commercial experience within complex environments
- Defence sector experience is highly desirable
- Experience managing complex contracts, negotiations and commercial governance
- Able to influence stakeholders at senior leadership level
- Strong understanding of risk, compliance and commercial strategy
