Arguile Search is supporting a leading defence organisation in the appointment of an experienced Procurement Analyst to help establish and develop a new Procurement Finance and Cost Analysis capability within its UK supply chain function. This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex supplier cost and price analysis, supporting procurement teams to develop robust negotiation strategies, identify cost efficiencies and make better-informed commercial decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse complex supplier quotations and proposals to establish fair and reasonable pricing
- Conduct cost and price analysis using market intelligence, historical data and financial models
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support supplier negotiation strategies
- Assess supplier financial performance and support wider supply chain reporting
- Monitor market, economic and pricing trends that may impact the supply base
- Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance and Engineering stakeholders
We’re looking for experience in:
- Procurement, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Finance, Estimating, Cost/Price Analysis or Business Analysis
- Reviewing supplier quotations, proposals or commercial data
- Financial analysis, cost modelling or pricing analysis
- Working independently within a fast-paced and evolving environment
Defence experience would be beneficial but is not essential. The client is open to candidates from a range of relevant sectors, provided they can demonstrate strong analytical and commercial capability.
Bristol – 3 days per week on site
Initial 12-month contract with the possibility to extend or go perm. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who wants to help shape a new capability while making a direct impact on procurement strategy, supplier performance and commercial outcomes.
