We’re partnering with a complex, high-profile organisation to appoint a Senior Procurement Director to lead procurement at enterprise level. This is a top-table role with genuine influence across strategy, commercial outcomes, and long-term business performance. You’ll own the procurement agenda end-to-end, operate at board level, and position procurement as a strategic lever rather than a support function.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the end-to-end procurement strategy across the organisation, ensuring clear alignment with corporate, financial, and operational objectives.
- Position procurement as a strategic, commercially driven function with influence at executive and board level.
- Set the long-term vision, operating model, and roadmap for procurement capability and maturity.
- Act as a trusted commercial advisor to the Executive Team and Board, providing insight on market dynamics, supply risk, cost drivers, and strategic sourcing decisions.
- Build strong, credible relationships with senior leaders across Finance, Operations, Engineering, Legal, and Programme Delivery.
- Influence decision-making on major investments, capital programmes, and long-term supplier commitments.
- Lead procurement input into business-critical initiatives, transformations, and M&A activity.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a senior procurement leadership team, creating clear accountability and high performance.
- Build succession plans and capability development frameworks across procurement and supply chain.
- Drive a culture of commercial excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a visible, credible leader across the organisation, championing procurement best practice.
- Lead complex, high-value negotiations and strategic supplier partnerships at executive level.
- Oversee category strategies across direct and indirect spend, ensuring consistency, value, and risk management.

- Manage critical supplier relationships and intervene where commercial or delivery risk exists.
- Ensure robust procurement governance, policy compliance, and ethical sourcing standards.

- Provide assurance to the Board on procurement risk, controls, and commercial exposure.
Key requirements
- 10+ years experience within FM, pharma, logistics background.
- Established enterprise-level procurement executive with experience operating at Board and Executive Committee level.
- Proven ownership of organisation-wide procurement and supply chain strategy across complex, multi-billion spend environments.
- Track record of leading and shaping large-scale procurement functions through senior leadership teams.
- Recognised commercial authority with deep expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and high-value negotiations.
- Credible advisor to C-suite stakeholders on commercial risk, market dynamics, and long-term value creation.
- Experience operating within highly regulated, asset-intensive or mission-critical environments.
