The Role:
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing high-value defence contracts, from bidding and pre-signature negotiations to post-signature contract management. You will be responsible for ensuring commercial success, risk mitigation, and compliance within a highly regulated and strategic environment. There are two roles available, one mainly pre-signature, one mainly post-signature.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial activities across technology led defence contracts.
- Oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals.
- Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with key clients, suppliers, and government entities.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security frameworks.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
- Provide commercial guidance to internal teams and senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to drive business objectives.
About You:
- Proven experience in a senior commercial/contracts management role.
- Strong understanding of defence contracts, including MOD and international agreements.
- Experience managing bids, pre-signature negotiations, and post-contract delivery.
- Excellent negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work in a high-security, fast-paced environment.
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level).
