The Role
- Act as the key interface between major projects and the wider Technology Procurement team.
- Support high-profile programmes by shaping procurement strategies, managing demand, and ensuring compliant, value-driven delivery across a complex stakeholder landscape.
- Act as the focal point for major projects and programmes, partnering with stakeholders across the business.
- Support project requirement definition, procurement pipeline planning, and demand management.
- Triage and prioritise incoming requirements, determining procurement support levels.
- Share market intelligence, supplier insights, and performance data to support operational delivery.
- Ensure adherence to governance, policies, and procurement best practice.
- Develop and manage procurement plans to support key technologies.
- Work closely with technology and project teams, managing escalations and providing regular updates.
- Ensure suppliers are appropriately contracted and not operating at risk.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a project-based environment with complex stakeholder networks.
- Strong background in technology procurement, particularly outsourced services and project services.
- Solid procurement and supply chain experience (MCIPS qualified or working towards desirable).
- Experience creating and managing procurement or sourcing plans.
- Understanding of software product lifecycles (desirable, not essential).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with commercial acumen.
- Excellent analytical skills, particularly around supplier performance and cost optimisation.
- Exposure to large-scale, transformational technology projects.
