We are working with a rapidly scaling, venture-backed technology business operating in a complex, highly regulated environment. As the company continues to grow internationally, they are looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Analyst to join a high-performing finance team and partner closely with operational leadership. This role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic projects, and commercial decision-making within a business at a pivotal stage of its growth.
The Role
As Commercial Finance Analyst, you will act as a key finance partner to operational and programme teams, providing insight, analysis, and guidance to support performance, profitability, and growth. You will work cross-functionally, helping translate financial data into clear commercial actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational and programme teams, providing commercial and financial insight
- Act as the finance point of contact for designated business areas, supporting timely and informed decision-making
- Deliver monthly and quarterly forecasting across assigned areas
- Analyse performance, identify cost variances, and support the development of mitigation plans
- Assess risks and opportunities, supporting teams to protect and improve profitability
- Report on programme performance, including revenue, margin, cash, and delivery against plan
- Support the development of management information and performance metrics
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes
- Support compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives as the business evolves
About You
- Experience in a commercial finance, FP&A, or finance business partnering role
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence non-finance teams
- Studying towards or qualified in an accounting, commercial, or MBA qualification
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator, able to explain financial concepts clearly and pragmatically
- Adaptable and resilient, comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving mindset
