A leading manufacturing business in Chesterfield is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their engineering team. This role will play a key part in supporting site operations and leading automation projects across multiple production facilities. As an Automation Engineer, you will provide technical support across electrical, mechanical, and automation disciplines while leading and coordinating automation projects. The role will involve supporting both the Chesterfield and Bradford production sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily technical support across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
  • Program and configure PLCs and HMI systems using Siemens (TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, WinCC) and Allen Bradley platforms
  • Lead automation projects including planning, coordination, and delivery
  • Develop and maintain control systems, including PLC, HMI, and robotic systems
