About the Role
We are working with a well-established food manufacturing business in Wrexham who are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced production environment where you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production machinery. The business offers a supportive environment, investment in training, and the opportunity to work with modern equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site
- Diagnose and fault-find on electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Work on a range of food production and packaging machinery
- Minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety and health & safety standards
- Assist with installations, upgrades, and project work
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Requirements
- Multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical or mechanical background
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (food/FMCG desirable)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of PLC systems (fault finding advantageous)
- Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards within manufacturing
- Ability to work a rotating days and nights shift pattern
