About the Role

We are working with a well-established food manufacturing business in Wrexham who are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced production environment where you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production machinery. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site
  • Diagnose and fault-find on electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Work on a range of food production and packaging machinery
  • Minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety and health & safety standards
  • Assist with installations, upgrades, and project work
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Requirements

  • Multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical or mechanical background
  • Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (food/FMCG desirable)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of PLC systems (fault finding advantageous)
  • Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards within manufacturing
  • Ability to work a rotating days and nights shift pattern
