We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Shift Technician with an electrical bias to join our engineering team. This is a key role responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production and site service assets to ensure high performance across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on a variety of automated and mechanical systems
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and support breakdown resolution
  • Support and implement continuous improvement activities across production lines
  • Collaborate with production teams to deliver high standards in safety, quality, and performance
  • Contribute to line changeovers, capital projects, and equipment upgrades
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and quality records using both digital and manual systems
  • Ensure housekeeping and health & safety standards are consistently met

What’s required:

  • A multi-skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical experience
  • Hands-on experience in FMCG or a similar fast-paced process environment
  • Strong diagnostic skills using PLCs and computer-based systems
  • A team player with a proactive, can-do approach and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow procedures accurately
  • Comfortable working across shifts and responding flexibly to business needs

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of health & safety standards (e.g. PUWER, COSHH, LOLER, EAWR)
  • Competency in IT systems relevant to engineering and maintenance
