The Opportunity

My client, a well-established manufacturing business in Chesterfield and part of a large global group, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead site operations and drive performance across production. The Role

As Manufacturing Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the manufacturing operation, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved. You will lead and develop a team, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all manufacturing operations on site
  • Drive performance against KPIs including safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies (Lean / Six Sigma)
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Manage, mentor, and develop production teams and supervisors
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and senior leadership teams
  • Oversee production planning and resource allocation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste

About You:

  • Proven experience in a Manufacturing Manager or senior production leadership role
  • Background within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Commercial awareness and ability to drive operational performance
