The Opportunity
My client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Chesterfield, is looking to recruit two Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineers to support ongoing growth and operational excellence initiatives. These roles offer an excellent opportunity for both graduates and experienced professionals who are passionate about driving efficiency, reducing waste, and improving processes.
The Role
As a CI Engineer, you will play a key role in identifying, developing, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Working closely with production, engineering, and leadership teams, you will help embed a culture of continuous improvement and operational best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, efficiency, and quality
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
- Analyse production data to drive performance improvements
- Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Support the development of standard operating procedures and best practices
- Engage and train teams on CI tools and techniques
- Monitor and report on project progress and achieved savings
About You:
- Degree-qualified (Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar) or relevant industry experience
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
