Belfast based multi-channel retailer Argento was founded in 1997 and now has 25 stores throughout the UK and Ireland. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Support Administrator to join the busy Head Office Team working for the Argento Group (includes Argento retail, Angus Properties, Lets Go Hydro & Lets Go Padel).
Contract: Full time permanent
Location: Argento Head Office, Belfast BT4 (office based and travel will be required to our various sites)
Hours of work: Monday Friday, hours per week, with on call every other weekend (plus additional on-call hours to meet operational need over peak trading periods)
Salary: £32,000 per annum, (negotiable depending on skills and experience)

Job Summary: Working in a fast-paced commercial environment, this is a great opportunity for a motivated and professional 1st and 2nd line support technician, with a hands-on approach, providing IT services across our multi-site company. Travel will be required as well as flexibility due to working across both the Retail and Hospitality & Leisure Sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- First point of contact, via email, telephone calls and in person, providing a high standard of 1st and 2nd line IT support to all users
- Responding to and dealing with tickets and phone calls raised to the helpdesk in a timely manner and provide efficient progression
- Take ownership of IT issues and tasks and see them through to completion, or escalate more complex issues as required
- Remotely connect and assist employees with IT related queries, maintaining communication until resolved
- Set up new users accounts and profiles, and deal with password issues
- Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
- Installation and configuration of IT hardware and software including PCs, Printers, Networking equipment, CCTV and audio systems
- Assist in the build and deployment of desktops and laptops
- Guaranteeing the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision
- Providing secure access to the network for remote users
- Testing of hardware and software releases and upgrades
- Assist manager in implementing IT policy, procedure, documentation, and best practice guides
- Flexibility is required to work out of hours and weekends to deal with IT emergencies and ensure continuity of IT service including during peak periods and bank holidays.
- Assist the IT Manager with day-to-day activities such as: User/Group Administration, Software/Hardware Installation, IT Asset Management, Patch deployment, Desk relocations
- To be involved in the department out of hours support rota
The successful candidate will have the following essential criteria:
- HND/HNC, NVQ4 or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- 2 years relevant IT support experience providing 1st and 2nd Line / Systems Admin / Helpdesk / Desktop support role
- Track record of providing support of PCs, laptops, printers etc for a large business application (for example, Retail, Hospitality, Finance) in a complex organisation
- Strong comprehensible technical experience of IT Systems, hardware, software and networking principles with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Experience with retail software, with a good understanding of how it works and experience setting it up (EPOS, Ecommerce, SAGE, CCTV and Audio systems etc)
- Experience in Microsoft Operating systems, Windows 10, Windows 11, Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Azure Solutions, SQL
- Competency in Office 365 administration as a user, but also admin setup etc
- Understanding of networking (DNS / routing / VPN)
- Experience of data backup systems
- Experience of managing telephony systems, IP telephony, cloud-based systems, and mobile management
- Ability to be hands on, preparing for IT set up in store refits, for example, wiring plugs, pulling through cables, putting up shelves etc
- Excellent communication with the ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal in everyday language
- Strong planning and organisational skills with time management and the ability to prioritise
- Ability to meet deadlines and respond positively to pressure
- Motivated, pro-active, enthusiastic and friendly disposition
- Willing and able to travel including overnights and weekends to meet operational need
- Hold a current, full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Right to Work in the UK
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with Dell Servers & SAN, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, Hyper-V, MDM, Retail Systems / ERP
