Argento is seeking a talented Digital Designer to join our busy Head Office team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating highly engaging and innovative designs across a wide range of digital channels, including website, email, social media, PPC, and more. Working closely with the Ecommerce and Marketing teams, you will ensure the Argento brand is consistently represented online, with fresh, seasonal, and conversion-focused creative.
You will also collaborate with our Print Designer to align digital and print campaigns, occasionally supporting print projects to deliver a seamless brand experience across all touchpoints. Responsible to: Ecommerce Manager
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Maternity Cover (9-12 months) - 24 hours per week, office based, Monday Tuesday and Wednesday, or Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm.
Salary: Actual salary £17,996.16 per annum, based on 24 hours per week (full-time equivalent salary £30,000).
About the role:
- Generate innovative design concepts that align with brand identity and campaign objectives.
- Create high-quality digital assets for websites, email campaigns, social media, paid advertising, and other digital platforms, designing and building email campaigns optimised for different devices and audiences.
- Ensure all creative work is consistent with brand guidelines, visual identity, and tone of voice.
- Work closely with the e-commerce team, wider marketing team, and other stakeholders to deliver engaging designs that support business goals, keep the website design fresh and align with seasonal campaigns, promotional activity, and product launches.
- Collaborate with the print designer to ensure digital and print campaigns are visually aligned and provide support on print projects when required.
- Partner with the in-house photographer to create, edit, and use photography effectively across campaigns and the website.
- Apply design principles that enhance usability and customer engagement across digital platforms.
- Produce wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups to communicate design direction effectively.
- Maintain and organise digital design libraries, templates, and brand assets.
- Adapt designs based on analytics, A/B test results, and customer feedback.
- Stay up to date with design trends, emerging tools, and digital best practices to continuously improve creative output.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
About you:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) and other design/prototyping tools.
- Experience in designing and building responsive email campaigns, with knowledge of email platforms (desirable).
- Good understanding of responsive web design and designing for multi-device user experiences.
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles and a strong focus on usability and engagement.
- Strong layout, typography, and visual design skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including marketing, e-commerce, print design, and photography.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable and open to feedback, with a willingness to iterate quickly and refine designs.
- Passion for digital design, with an interest in emerging trends, tools, and best practices.

- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for email and web design.
- Proficiency in Figma for prototyping, collaboration, and design systems.
- Experience using AI design tools to enhance creativity and workflow efficiency.
- Experience working within digital marketing campaigns, understanding how design impacts engagement and conversion.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) for updating and maintaining digital content.
- Motion/animation skills for creating richer digital experiences.
