About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Development Scientist to join our MSAT team in Dundee. This role will lead development and technical transfer activities, supporting product development projects from early-stage development through to registration or other client-driven milestones. The successful candidate will generate, review and communicate high-quality technical data for internal reports, client deliverables and GMP regulatory support documentation.

Working closely with clients, site functions and global Argenta teams, the Senior Development Scientist will manage project activities and timelines, contribute to continuous process improvement, support validation and product monitoring activities, and help resolve technical challenges. This is an opportunity for an experienced product development professional to apply strong technical expertise, customer focus and project leadership within a GMP/GLP environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product development projects all the way to product registration or other suitable client-driven product-cycle end points
  • Lead projects on behalf of clients and/or Argenta Research (internal company projects)
  • Generate, document and review technical data for internal reports, client reports and CMC regulatory support documents
  • Communicate and negotiate project activities and timelines
  • Lead continuous process improvement at Argenta Dundee by working across site functions and with clients
  • Lead technical transfer projects internally and externally to Dundee
  • Ensure execution of validation master plans and continuous monitoring of products
  • Support best practice and execute product remediation/resolution of technical issues
  • Provide leadership, direction and support across the Dundee site functions and Argenta globally to deliver against internal and client milestones
  • Comply with all company local and global policies including Quality frameworks and health, safety and environment (HSE) policies.
  • Perform any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by Company management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant scientific discipline (Chemistry; Pharmacy; Biology) or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in animal health Industry or related field [minimum 5 yrs], with experience in pharmaceutical analytical/formulation development.
  • Experience in a GMP / GLP compliant environment.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical regulatory approval processes
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in multidisciplinary project teams
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and resource management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to mentor, multitask, and adapt to evolving priorities.
