Related Argent is looking for an experienced BTR Finance Operations Accountant, who will be business partnering with both site teams and the corporate finance team. There will be high focus on ensuring the sites continue to operate in compliance with the relevant BTR statutory regulations.
What you will deliver:
- Rent and Revenue management
- Monitoring rent collection across the portfolio and monthly rent reconciliations
- Regular reviews of arrears with site teams, posting bad debt provisions, and flagging potential issues on a timely basis.
- Reporting on arrears and payment plans in place
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and reporting thereon across key Yardi balances (Bank, Arrears, Deposits, Deferred Income, Cash in Transit)
- Setting up (including relevant coding) of ad hoc other payments to residents as required e.g. refunds, deposits and move-out balances
- Support with month end close including posting Gross Potential Rent
- Conducts regular review of the Payment Processing Dashboard in Property Management system for failed payments and other returned items
- Monitors the reporting for specific data quality issues and corrects them
- Assist in the preparation of the property’s month-end reports and coordinate with corporate finance team for reporting in respect of: Rent roll, rent roll with lease charges, aged receivables and security deposit activity
- Ensuring compliance with Tenancy Deposit Scheme process including timely payment of deposits and undertaking regular security deposit audits and analysis of security deposits against bank liability reports
- Reconciliation of deposits balances held by Tenancy Deposit Scheme
Systems, controls and process improvement:
- First port of call for site teams for any Yardi finance queries
- Yardi finance support and driving finance best practice and reporting using the capabilities of Yardi – working closely with the team to progress operational processes and reporting outputs
- Such other duties that may reasonably be required from you from time to time, and as may be notified to you

- Experience in and understanding of property operations
- Strong excel and reporting skills
- Experience with finance/property systems – Yardi experience essential
- Commercial awareness and strong stakeholder management
