Main Purpose of Job
The Terminal Operator will work as part of a shift team ensuring the effective transfer of fuel components in and out of our Oil Terminal. They will also ensure the operation of steam generation and distribution to necessary Site facilities.
What you will do
- Oversee the safe loading and discharge of fuel components in to and out of AOT.
- Undertake control room duties including alarm management in line with COMAH requirements and updating operating logs and reports.
- Monitorand operate the Biomass facility to ensure consistent operation and environmentally compliant.
- Follow the blend plan for all product movements from ships, tankers, vessel, pipelines in and out of the site, in line with procedures.
- Carry out daily sampling, inspections and shift checks to ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on operational equipment.

Specific Experience and Qualifications required:
- Experience of fuel handling (desirable)
- Experience of fuel bulk storage (desirable)
- Experience on COMAH sites (advantageous)
- Health & safety qualification (desirable)
- NVQ in process operations (desirable)
- Good standard of Maths & English GCSE passes
- IT literate
- ERP experience (desirable)
- Excel skills for data input
- Fork Lift Truck (desirable)
- Confined Space (training will be given)
- First Aid (training will be given)
