We are now looking to recruit an experienced Area Service Engineer to support our continued growth across the Sheffield region.

The Role

As an Area Service Engineer you will play a critical role in delivering high‑quality service and maintenance support to our customers. You will take ownership of your designated service area, respond to service desk requests, resolve faults efficiently and support small project works where required. You will also participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota, ensuring our customers continue to receive a reliable and professional service around the clock. This role offers far more than day‑to‑day service work. What You Will Be Doing

  • Taking full ownership of service and maintenance calls within your allocated area
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults across a range of integrated security systems
  • Working proactively to minimise repeat visits and deliver first‑time fixes
  • Communicating clearly with your Line Manager or Supervisor regarding outstanding issues and workload
  • Representing ASEL professionally at all times, building strong and lasting client relationships
  • Supporting the wider Service Team with additional reasonable duties as required

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:

  • Proven experience working with integrated security systems including CCTV, Intruder, Access Control and Fire
  • Strong experience with IP‑based security systems, including enterprise platforms such as Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon and similar IP video management systems
  • A solid technical understanding of fault‑finding, servicing and maintenance
  • A customer‑focused mindset with a professional, approachable manner
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
