Main Responsibilities

  • Providing visible deterrence, responding to incidents, completing incident reports and collaborating with local authorities.
  • Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity.
  • Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities and working proactively to minimise risk.
  • Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable.
  • Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
  • Completing colleague and contractor searches in line with customer company policy.
  • Digitally reporting incidents using tablets or phones for daily activity planning.
  • Providing detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the client and local authorities.

Hourly rate: Site dependent, between £12.71– £15.00 per hour

The Person

You must be a confident communicator, able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. Welcoming, patient with customers and capable of handling conflict professionally are also essential.

Required Experience and Qualification

  • Valid SIA licence (Guarding or Door Supervisor) is required.
  • Previous experience in a retail security role is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Applicants must provide a full 5‑year checkable work or back‑to‑school history.
