Main Responsibilities

  • Provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities.
  • Carry out site duties in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct internal and external site patrols, including perimeter and fire door checks.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to or within perimeters and buildings.
  • Liaise with the technical team daily to report any alarm, CCTV or gate issues on sites.
  • Coordinate with departmental heads of staff regarding property or asset issues.
  • Respond to all incidents or emergencies onsite.
  • Manage site gatehouse duties.
  • Handle site keys and incident report management.
  • Ensure the safety of people on site by reporting any health and safety breaches found.

Operational Performance

  • Ensure that access/egress duties are actioned in line with company policies.
  • Adhere to company training and processes in the pursuit of your duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service, remaining courteous and professional at all times.
  • Undertake refresher and developmental training as required.

Relevant Skills and Experience

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and bespoke systems (training will be provided).
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Customer‑service oriented, demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
  • Capacity to work under pressure.
  • Team player with the ability to work on own initiative.

General

  • Show flexibility and adapt to new requests outside of the core role on request.
  • Respond to all customer requests in a timely manner.

Location Fawdon

Hours 42 hours per week

Shift 4 on 4 off day 07:00‑19:00

Hourly Rate £12.50

The Person

  • Confident communicator able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity, welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict professionally.

Required Experience and Qualification

  • Valid SIA licence.
  • Previous experience in a retail security role is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
