This is a senior operational leadership role at the heart of our service delivery model for the North East region. Working alongside the Zonal Operations Manager, you will lead a team of Regional Support Managers, driving performance, building strong client relationships and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across your region. The North East presents a dynamic and growing portfolio of client sites, spanning a range of commercial, corporate, and high-security environments. This role is for a confident, commercially minded leader who takes personal ownership of results and knows how to get the best from the people around them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership
    • Lead, coach and develop a team of Regional Support Managers across the North East
    • Conduct regular regional performance reviews and implement improvement plans
    • Monitor service delivery and customer satisfaction against agreed SLAs and KPIs
    • Identify underperforming contracts and drive proactive, structured improvement initiatives
  • People Management
    • Manage scheduling, recruitment, contracts, performance evaluations and disciplinaries across the region
    • Drive employee engagement and build a high-performance, inclusive regional culture
    • Lead succession planning to identify and develop future talent within the team
  • Financial & Commercial
    • Take full ownership of regional financial targets and performance reporting
    • Maintain financial accuracy and manage commercial risk across the North East portfolio
    • Build trusted, long-term client relationships that support retention and commercial growth
  • Compliance & Risk
    • Develop and maintain assignment instructions and risk assessments across all regional sites
    • Ensure full health and safety compliance across all North East operational sites
    • Act as a visible ambassador for ASEL values, standards and professional conduct at all times

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a sizeable security-based environment
  • Proven experience managing teams including recruitment, performance management and development
  • Strong background in commercial contract management within security or facilities management
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, geographically spread environment
  • Experience in project management and health and safety compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Valid UK driving licence – travel across the North East region will be required
