ASEL is recruiting Relief Mobile Roaming Security Officers on a zero hours basis.

With multiple shifts available across the week, this is a genuine opportunity to earn consistently while maintaining the flexibility you need.

You will be deployed across a cluster of high-priority locations, providing proactive, intelligence-led security using a company vehicle, phone, and tablet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy across an assigned cluster of sites using a company vehicle, prioritising locations according to live intelligence and risk.
  • Conduct proactive, high-visibility patrols of client premises, providing a reassuring and professional presence for colleagues and customers.
  • Identify trends and patterns in criminality and feed intelligence back to the Amberstone Crime Desk.
  • Liaise with management, Police, and local authorities as required.
  • Manage vulnerable persons with empathy and professionalism, minimising distress at all times.
  • Conduct colleague and contractor searches in line with agreed policy.
  • Carry out thorough security checks across all assigned premises.
  • Digitally report incidents and gather intelligence using company-supplied phone and tablet.
  • Produce clear, accurate incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Operate Body Worn Cameras in line with company and safety policy.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders via all channels including radio.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, colleagues, and the public at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence – applications without this cannot be considered.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence – a company vehicle will be provided and based at a designated site.
  • Minimum 1 year of front-line security guarding experience, ideally in a retail or mobile environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident and calm under pressure with the ability to handle conflict professionally.
  • Competent with digital devices – able to use a phone and tablet for daily reporting and planning.
  • Smart, professional appearance and a proactive, can-do attitude.

Desirable

  • Additional SIA accreditations.
  • Previous experience in an intelligence-led or mobile security environment.
  • Familiarity with body worn camera systems and digital incident reporting platforms.
