Responsibilities
- Provide visible deterrence in-store and respond to incidents
- Complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities
- Carry out all guarding responsibilities whilst in store
- Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity
- Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work to minimise risk
- Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable
- Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
- Conduct colleague and contractor searches when required in line with customer policy
- Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning
- Provide detailed, legible incident reporting to assist the Client and Local Authorities

- Shift Pattern: 7-day cover
- Hourly Rate: £12.30
The Person
To be an effective Security Officer, you will be a confident communicator, able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You should be welcoming and patient with customers and able to handle conflict professionally.
Required Experience and Qualifications
You must hold a valid SIA licence to apply. Previous experience in a Retail Security role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
