We are looking for an additional Assistant Project Manager to work on pre-construction and ongoing projects. £42,500 - £55,000 + package, negotiable.
You will need to have:
- Experience in the UK market.
- Good attention to detail in record keeping administration, report writing and project tracking.
- Good communication and mathematical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a good mathematical approach.
A background in Design co-ordination, Construction Planning, Civil Engineering or Architecture could be suitable.
The Company: A consultancy who are overseeing / managing multiple contracts in the high spec new build and cut & carve sectors, involving Shell and Core aspects through to full completion and handover. Package values range from £2m to £15m+. Sites are mainly in London, with some in Luton and the surrounding counties. Excellent potential to grow with a company who have very experienced construction trained management to guide you.
Your role will involve coordinating and managing the pre-construction phase of projects, ensuring efficient and effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities. Participating in site meetings you will take notes, produce meeting records and write up summaries. Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive pre-construction plans that align with project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers, clients and other stakeholders to develop pre-construction plans and schedules for assigned projects.
- Coordinate the preparation of project documentation, including scope of work, project schedules, resource plans, and budget estimates.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to obtain permits, approvals, and relevant information for project planning and development.
- Monitor and track project progress, milestones, and deliverables against established plans and schedules, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of pre-construction activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in pre-construction planning, project management, or related roles within the construction industry would be good.
- Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and help to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities and good mathematical skills are essential.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines and budget constraints.
- Attitude: Enthusiastic, positive and eager to further develop and learn with a pro-active approach.
