Growing company needs an additional Estimator with previous experience in Residential Groundworks. Expanding Residential Groundworks and Civil Engineering contractor requires an additional Estimator to join a friendly team. Responsibilities include:
- Estimating, taking off, preparing Bills of Quantities, estimating through to final accounts.
- Pricing in a competitive market, reporting to a Senior QS, with good industry knowledge.
- Self-motivated and eager to help the company expand.
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ relevant experience in Groundworks and Civil Engineering.
Essential requirements:
- Able to take off from drawings, both hard copy and electronic format.
- Estimating and understanding how to incorporate contingencies into the prices.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities.
- Exposure and experience in Groundworks and Civil Engineering.
- Identifying scope changes.
- Contract correspondence.
- Experience of pricing projects with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Estimating skills with good IT ability and presentation.
This is an excellent role for an individual looking for a long-term position where they can get their head down and get on with their job. There is a strong forward order book, so continuous employment is assured. You should live within one hour’s travel of Leatherhead. Salary expectations from £55,000 to £65,000 initially, can start on a self-employed basis, if preferred. Rate based on your experience and the amount you can contribute to the business growth.
