To work for a Contractor Setting out on highways for roads and drainage, supervising kerb laying and drainage gangs. Sizewell C. £350 – 370 UTR. 9-12 months work.
To work for a Contractor setting out and monitoring works to include QA and records. You will need a car to access site. You must be motivated and a self-starter.
Land Surveyor or Civil Engineer with 3-4 years UK experience to work in the field with a good grasp of what is involved in highway upgrades and setting out. This is a site-based role, and you will need a car to get to the site.
You will have practical experience in site work on civils schemes with either a main contractor or a subcontractor. Since you will need to operate with minimal supervision it is likely that you will have 3-4 years site experience to be able to carry out the duties.
Knowledge of Highways, Drainage, Embankments, 278 works setting out, will all be evident in your experience to date. You must be able to work with the installation and sub-contracting gangs when advising on correct construction methods and installation.
Communication must be good in both written and oral situations. You must be IT literate with a good grasp of survey equipment, both essential for the role.
CSCS certification is essential. The project starts in July and runs for 9 to 12 months mainly Monday to Friday with the odd weekend possible. Only those legally entitled to live and work in the UK with suitable and relevant experience to date, will be considered for the position.
