This opportunity is suited to lawyers looking to build long-term depth in complex financing work within a highly integrated, cross-border environment.

Role Overview

Associates will be involved in a wide range of high-value financing matters with an international dimension, including:

• Structuring and executing leveraged and structured finance transactions connected to acquisitions, portfolio activity and broader corporate strategies
• Drafting and negotiating principal finance documentation and related security arrangements
• Acting as a central point of coordination across jurisdictions and working closely with colleagues in complementary transactional and advisory teams

Practice Context

The leveraged finance team forms part of a broader global transactions group, operating alongside private equity, corporate and real asset practices. The group is active on complex financing arrangements for institutional investors, alternative capital providers and sponsor-backed businesses.

The London practice includes lawyers qualified in multiple jurisdictions and regularly advises on European and transatlantic financings. The team has experience across a broad spectrum of debt products and structures, including private credit, syndicated lending, bond-led financings and layered capital structures. Matters are delivered through close collaboration with international offices, ensuring consistency of advice and efficient execution.

Candidate Requirements

• Meaningful experience in leveraged or acquisition finance gained at a recognised law firm
• Strong drafting capability and commercial judgement
• Qualification in England & Wales or another common-law jurisdiction
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within deal teams
• An interest in long-term practice development, client relationships and internal knowledge initiatives
