We're looking for an experienced Lead Agile Delivery Manager (SFIA 6) to support the delivery of a high-profile digital transformation programme operating under significant business and ministerial scrutiny. You'll work directly with Deputy Director-level stakeholders, providing delivery leadership, strategic reporting, governance oversight and assurance across multiple teams and workstreams.
You'll bring extensive experience leading digital delivery within complex government or large-scale enterprise environments, driving delivery outcomes, managing senior stakeholders, identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies, and ensuring effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. A key part of the role is developing delivery capability across the wider organisation β coaching and mentoring Lead Delivery Managers, Senior Delivery Managers, Delivery Managers and Scrum Masters to improve delivery maturity, practices and outcomes.
Essential experience:
- SFIA 6 level Delivery Management experience
- Leading multidisciplinary digital delivery teams
- Senior stakeholder management, including Deputy Director, Director and programme leadership engagement
- Delivery governance, RAID management and dependency management
- Roadmap planning, prioritisation and reporting
- Operating within complex government or regulated environments
- Coaching and developing delivery professionals
- Driving continuous improvement across teams and programmes
Highly desirable experience:
- Deep expertise in Kanban and flow-based delivery management, including WIP management, lead time, cycle time, throughput analysis and service-level expectations
- Practical application of Monte Carlo forecasting to improve delivery predictability and confidence-based planning
- Experience implementing forecasting approaches using Jira, Actionable Agile or similar tooling
- Coaching and upskilling other delivery professionals in forecasting, metrics and flow-based delivery practices
- Experience supporting ministerial commitments, high-profile programmes and executive governance forums
