Senior Product Manager – SC Cleared & Government Experience

Newcastle, Leeds, or Birmingham (Hybrid) – On-site presence required. Active SC Clearance Required. Inside IR35 / Approx. £390 daily rate.

Areti are excited to be supporting another fantastic partner within the government and defence space, who are recruiting for a Senior Product Manager with experience in government digital environments.

The Role:

The role involves leading the definition, development, and delivery of digital products that meet user and business needs. You will work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and policy experts to shape product strategy, prioritise features, and ensure successful delivery and adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and communicating the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Gathering and prioritising user and stakeholder requirements to ensure products deliver maximum value.
  • Defining clear product objectives, success metrics, and KPIs.
  • Collaborating with design, delivery, and technical teams to ensure solutions meet user needs.
  • Managing product backlogs and prioritisation decisions, balancing business, user, and technical requirements.
  • Driving product discovery, user research, and testing to inform product decisions.
  • Monitoring product performance, analysing outcomes, and iterating to improve effectiveness.
  • Engaging with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and visibility across programmes.

Experience Required:

  • Active SC or DV Clearance.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably at a senior level, in government or public sector digital environments.
  • Strong experience defining and delivering digital products end-to-end, from discovery through delivery and iteration.
  • Demonstrable understanding of user-centred design, product discovery, and agile delivery practices.
  • Experience managing stakeholders across senior and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, prioritisation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to define and track product KPIs and measure impact on business objectives.
