Areti have partnered with a Financial Services company who are on the look out for a talented Infrastructure Engineer, the business are really evolving their whole technology approach and want someone who can join them on that journey. Role: SQL Server DBA Location: Remote Salary £40 – 55k On Call Rota (Extra £8k per year) They will consider a less experienced candidate who is looking to grow/develop in to the role or someone who has all of the expertise for a number of years. Essential Skills/Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years as a production SQL Server DBA, supporting SQL Server in a virtualised environment and demonstrable ability to identify performance bottlenecks and tune performance of database code (queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, Assemblies etc) Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows server environments, a thorough understanding of basic networking concepts and strong PowerShell automation and scripting skills. Ability to work autonomously, creatively and efficiently to resolve complex technical problems. Work effectively with system vendors, external companies and managed service providers. Excellent knowledge and experience of managing infrastructure, desktop and application virtualisation platforms, such as Hyper-V, Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop and the ability to Ability to produce detailed analytical documentation targeted at the correct level based on the audience Experience in implementing SQL Always On High Availability, Database Encryption, Log-Shipping, Replication, Policy Based Management, and using PowerShell with SQL Server Management of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI Please get in contact ASAP if interested Interviews this week for the right candidate
