About the Opportunity
We are hiring five exceptional Development Team Leads / Tech Leads for one of the UK’s fastest‑scaling, best‑funded, and most forward‑thinking software scale‑ups. This company builds an advanced AI‑powered platform used by some of the world’s most recognized organisations – powering smarter decisions, better performance, and next‑generation digital transformation. They combine:

The Role
We’re looking for five inspiring technical leaders to guide cross‑functional engineering teams across multiple product areas. This is a hands‑on leadership role—combining delivery leadership and impactful ownership of high‑value product areas. Your team may focus on workflow and automation improvements, core platform scalability and resilience, with focus areas rotating annually.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a team of 2–6 engineers, running 1:1s and supporting growth
- Influence architecture, design patterns, and tech decisions across the platform
- Partner with product managers to shape priorities and delivery outcomes
- Guide teams in designing, building, testing, and shipping new features
- Play a key role in hiring the next generation of engineering talent
- Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and engineering excellence
- Remain technically hands‑on, especially while teams scale
Experience with large‑scale, complex systems is a major advantage. Leadership titles aren’t essential – but leadership behaviour is.
You’ll Thrive If You Are
- A strong full‑stack engineer with deep problem‑solving instincts
- Comfortable leading technical direction and coaching others
- Skilled at breaking down complexity into clear actions
- Emotionally intelligent and great at aligning teams
- Confident challenging assumptions and navigating ambiguity
- Motivated to build elegant, scalable, future‑ready solutions
- Passionate about learning, improvement, and collaboration
What You’ll Get
- 33 days holiday, rising to 40
- 4‑week paid sabbatical after 5 years
- Innovation Weeks (twice annually)
- 20 hours paid volunteering time
- Monthly social time – hikes, BBQs, game nights, workshops
- Remote‑first across the UK
- Flexible hours around a 37.5‑hour week
- No mandated office days – trust, autonomy, and delivery matter most
These five roles are high priority, with interview slots already reserved for strong candidates. Please ensure your CV clearly showcases technical leadership and relevant architectural or delivery ownership.
