We are supporting a major public-sector programme seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with strong automation and Agile delivery expertise to join a high-performing engineering team delivering complex digital transformation work. This role is focused on automation-first QA engineering within modern CI/CD environments, working across integration-heavy systems and cloud-native platforms.
Key Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java
- Selenium
- Cucumber
- Playwright
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
- Strong API and integration testing capability
- Experience working within Agile, BDD, and TDD environments
- CI/CD pipeline experience
- Strong understanding of end-to-end and regression testing
- Comfortable working closely with developers in engineering-led teams
Nice to Have
- Public sector or government programme experience
- Performance testing exposure
- Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure)
- Accessibility testing knowledge
Ability to attend site in Newcastle 2 days per week
