Salary – £80,000–£85,000 + company benefits.

Areti are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager to lead a high-impact Microsoft 365 Tenant-to-Tenant Migration programme within a complex acquisition and business integration environment.

This is a strategic role suited to an experienced programme leader with a proven track record in delivering large-scale M365 migrations within M&A, carve-outs, or organisational integration initiatives. You’ll play a pivotal role in aligning technology transformation with wider business objectives, ensuring a seamless transition for both systems and people.

This role is heavily focused on end-to-end programme delivery, stakeholder management, and governance, while ensuring successful execution of M365 migration activities across multiple business units and technical domains.

How Your Day Will Look

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a Microsoft 365 Tenant-to-Tenant Migration programme within an acquisition or business integration.
  • Develop and execute programme plans, governance frameworks, timelines, budgets, and resource strategies.
  • Align migration activities with broader business integration and transformation objectives.
  • Oversee all phases including planning, execution, cutover, hypercare, and business transition.
  • Ensure delivery against key milestones, objectives, and success criteria.

M365 Migration & Technical Oversight

  • Manage migration and consolidation across: Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Security, compliance, and identity services.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure best practice execution and minimal disruption.
  • Oversee tooling and migration partner delivery where applicable.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership and business units.
  • Lead steering committees, governance forums, and executive reporting.
  • Manage third-party vendors, system integrators, and migration partners.
  • Act as the key point of contact across business and technology streams.

Risk, Governance & Change

  • Identify, manage, and mitigate programme risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Drive programme governance, reporting, and financial management.
  • Support business readiness, communications, training, and adoption initiatives.
  • Ensure strong change management practices are embedded throughout the programme.

Experience Wanted

  • Strong experience across mergers & acquisitions, business integrations, carve-outs, or divestitures.
  • Deep understanding of integrating acquired businesses into existing operating models.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across executive, business, and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stream programmes and global deliveries.
  • Strong governance, financial management, risk management, and reporting capability.
  • Experience managing vendors, partners, and third-party delivery organisations.
  • Exposure to migration tools such as Quest, BitTitan, ShareGate, AvePoint, or CloudM (desirable).
  • Relevant programme/project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or similar) preferred.
