We’re growing a secure, data‑driven digital workplace across our financial services business. You’ll be the go‑to Power Apps Consultant who turns complex business processes into intuitive apps and automated workflows—and brings people with you. You’ll coach stakeholders, upskill citizen developers, and build a culture of adoption and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do (key responsibilities)
- Consult & discover: Run workshops to translate business objectives into robust Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), prioritising outcomes, risk, and compliance.
- Design & build: Deliver canvas and model‑driven apps with clean UX, reliable data models, and scalable architecture; integrate with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and line‑of‑business systems/APIs.
- Automate & optimise: Implement flows in Power Automate to remove manual effort, improve SLAs, and reduce processing time, with clear monitoring and error handling.
- Data & security first: Define Dataverse tables, relationships, and policies; apply environment strategy, DLP, and role‑based security aligned to financial services standards.
- ALM & quality: Establish ALM using solution‑aware development, Azure DevOps pipelines, branching, peer reviews, test plans, and staged deployments (Dev/Test/Prod).
- Enable & advocate: Lead show‑and‑tells, brown‑bags, and training; create re‑usable components, templates, and documentation; mentor citizen developers and functional SMEs.
- Governance & CoE: Contribute to a lightweight Power Platform CoE (governance, telemetry, standards, catalog of approved connectors, environment strategy, naming conventions).
- Stakeholder management: Communicate risks, trade‑offs, and value in plain English; manage expectations and deliver to agreed timelines.
- Support & iterate: Own hypercare and continuous improvement cycles; measure adoption and NPS, and translate feedback into product backlog items.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience delivering Power Apps solutions end‑to‑end in a corporate environment (ideally financial services or other regulated industry).
- Expertise in canvas and model‑driven apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, solution layering, and security roles.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, governance, DLP policies, and environment strategy.
- Hands‑on experience with ALM for Power Platform (managed solutions, connection references) and Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards).
- Solid API integration skills (custom connectors, REST, JSON, OAuth) and familiarity with Microsoft 365/Entra ID.
- Clear, confident communication—able to bring non‑technical stakeholders on the journey, influence decision‑makers, and coach colleagues.
- A pragmatic approach to documentation, testing, and release management.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Power Platform CoE Starter Kit, application lifecycle telemetry, and admin connectors.
- Power BI for light analytics/embedding; Power Pages exposure.
- Experience with copilots/AI in the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Copilot Studio, generative AI prompts) and responsible‑AI considerations.
- Background in financial services (e.g., retail banking, wealth, insurance) and awareness of risk, compliance, and audit expectations.
